The Art of Living

It's been a while, folks. My apologies. Quick little update on whats been going on with me over the last few days:

I ended up taking a down week last week, and took a much needed day off. Its amazing how much better the legs feel after one day's rest. After all, that is only my second day off in well over a month at this point. Good decision on my part to take it.

So with that day off, I have noticed that over the past handful of runs, I've been feeling much more comfortable. I've even picked the pace up a notch the last couple of days, which is a nice change of pace (pun intended). This week should be a big one, as I am aiming for 70 miles with a 16 mile long run on Sunday. It's also a big week academically, as I have my first test of PT school on Monday--so the physical exertion will serve as a great stress relief/break from studying!

Lately I have been reading a new blog that I find to be excellent and would recommend everyone check out: Marc and Angel Hack Life. The posts are all about ways to improve your life, a topic that I am very interested in. I find that fitness is one of the biggest components to living an awesome life, but there are many more aspects to it. These posts cover many of them. What it really comes down to it living simply, noticing and acknowledging others around you, and just experiencing life and all of the joys it has to offer. It is important to stop and think about living life when things get hectic and crazy, or when things are seemingly going poorly. Remember that all things will pass-- things that seem terrible now, you probably won't even think about in a few days or weeks. Stop and smell the roses.

So now it's back to the books for me! 11 miles planned for this evening on my favorite loop through Richmond. Adio, friends.

  1. You better apologize. I was this close to cutting myself if one more day went by without a post from you.

Here is my tip for improving your life: eat plenty of Jody's gourmet popcorn htttp://www.jodyspopcorn.com/c/PopcornFlavors/
